The girls at the Foundation High School join together for weekly and monthly meetings headed by the Speech and Language department. The focus is to build meaningful friendships while having fun as a group. They have named the group “Girls Club”. Throughout the year, the Girls Club discussed how friendships can grow like gardens given the right love and support. The girls learned what friendships need to grow: fun, togetherness, encouragement, support, boundaries, respect, and trust. This year we built and planted a ‘Friendship Garden’ that represented their individuality as well as how they can grow together.
