Physical Therapy
Physical therapy services are provided when needed to help students acquire functional abilities to access educational materials and move about the school. Physical therapy can help students function better in class, the lunchroom, restroom, and on the playground. Physical therapists identify barriers and unique challenges students face. They work with other members of the team to help students develop the skill, strength, and flexibility to access their environment.
Physical therapists work with other members of the team to adapt and modify equipment and materials to promote the highest level of independent function possible. Our cooperative approach ensures that techniques and strategies aren’t limited to one or two weekly sessions but can be taught and practiced throughout the school day in a wide range of environments.
