Behavioral Support

The Foundation School is an intensive language based program that uses research-based principles for effective and systematic behavioral changes. Strategies such as direct observation, antecedent-based strategies, modeling, shaping, prompting, positive behavioral support, utilizing the student’s preference for reinforces and activity choices, and emphasis on adaptive and functional skills are methods used to generalize skills across settings and individuals. The Foundation School staff utilizes an individualized approach to assessment intervention and programming that is truly individualized and unique to each student’s needs.
