Big Fun in the Big Apple
Post date:
December 6, 2019Our Foundation Middle School took a trip to New York City. They took a train into Grand Central Station and then walked through the holiday decorated streets to Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. At the museum, there was an educational program that told them about the history of Madame Tussaud and how the wax sculptures are made. Anna Maria "Marie" Tussaud was a French artist known for her wax sculptures and Madame Tussauds, the wax museum she founded in London. Today each wax sculpture costs approx. $300,000 to make. After the educational program, a 4D Marvel movie and a self guided tour of the museum they enjoyed dinner together before heading back on the train. They all had a great time in The Big Apple.
