Big Deal/Little Deal

Students joined in the gym for a book reading. The theme was tattling.  We discussed kid-versus adult-sized problems, how to handle a conflict before going to an adult (e.g., a teacher or family member), and examples of problems that require immediate attention by an adult.  We paused throughout the story and students actively participated by holding up “big problem” or “little problem” signs.  Remember, “Don’t Squeal Unless It’s a Big Deal!”
