Advisement and Support

The Foundation School provides support and counseling to students and families by identifying services and negotiating with providers beyond high school.

Post high school educational programs include community college, four-year college, vocational training programs, and adult education. Work, life skill, and recreation activities can be provided by community-based providers with the support of agencies including the Department of Developmental Disabilities, the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, the Department of Mental Health, and other agencies. Financial and medical support may be accessed through Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, and the Social Security Developmental Income. We help students and families negotiate with these agencies to help each student get the services he or she needs.
